Hip Hop

Born 1983 in Portugal. Trained at Academia de Danca Contemporânea in Setubal in Portugal. She graduated in 2000 and has since then danced in CeDeCe, Dancarte, Almada Dance Company, Portuguese Company of Contemporary Ballet and Companhia Rui Lopes Graca.

In 2006 Filipa was invited to work with TOK'ART, under the direction of André Mesquita and Teresa Alves da Silva. She choreographed and performed Prefácio for the II Internacional Festival of Contemporary Dance Solos in September 2007. During summer 2008 she choreographed the solo Less of a Mess for the Portuguese National Ballet Company and participated in the IV Dance Life convention with parts of the hip hop project Four styles & Guests.

Filipa has also been teaching workshops and master classes. Since 2008 she is been a teacher for Marikas DansEstudio, DiAmbra, Sway and BabyDolls. Autumn 2009 is Filipa's second season in Cullberg Ballet.
