Hip-hop, ballet, personal development and nutrition. Sound like a good combination?
It’s about your development
At Diambra, we help you find what’s right for you and are constantly aiming to fulfil your needs, starting with you and only you. Personal coaching is a crucial part of the programme. In our dance education, we see and develop individuals, focusing on your body and your potential. We also know that you can learn other styles, as long as you have core skills within one primary style. We want you to be remembered for your own expressions.
We like pushing the limits
Because our teachers are themselves an active part of the dance scene, our techniques are fresh and our teaching styles up-to-date, reflecting the reality around us. We think that’s better – and more fun – than teaching the same stuff year after year while the world changes around us. Our dance programme crosses seamlessly over boundaries, meaning we can use African moves in a jazz class, or dance ballet to house music. You don’t have to dance hip-hop in a hip-hop outfit – a tutu can work just as well.
More than just dance
Diambra is more than just dance. Our ambition to train artists has resulted in a school curriculum with a broad focus. As a student, you can choose between several different subjects. Depending on the class’s general qualities and individual needs, the subjects on offer vary, for example PR for performing artists, photography, stage makeup and nutrition. The point is to give you the right tools to develop yourself in your future profession. As a student at Diambra you also keep a dance journal with personal goals and reflections. This journal enables you and your teachers to keep track of your development as a dancer.
We’re the best. And you’re even better!
At Diambra, our ambition is to give you the best there is to offer, both in Sweden and internationally. We focus on knowledge and quality and want to help your personality and charisma shine. But if you want to become successful, you need to be well-equipped from the start. In order to be admitted, you must show us that you have talent and experience within one or more of the programme’s different dance styles (for example hip-hop, jazz or ballet). And you’ll have to show us during the Diambra Auditions, held once a year in the beginning of summer.
