Vad lär man sig på dina klasser?
I try to create a proffessional atmosphere where students learn to act, dance and think like a proffesional dancer. To truly listen to the music and hear someone else's musicality. My choreography is fast and often switches from lyrics to beats and back again so students are constantly working with rhythm and timing.
Vad tycker du är viktiga egenskaper hos en dansare?
Drive has to be the most important. As long as a dancer is willing to put in the extra work and effort there are very few boundaries to how far they can go. Musicality and a love of music, a hunger for new experience and inspiration. Confidence mixed with a good dose of humility, knowing you're good but at the same time being humble enough to know what you need to work on.
Vad gör din stil unik?
My experiences, my way of moving and thinking. I try to pull inspiration from many different sources, music, film other dancers, books, images, but also want to be true to myself as both a dancer and choreographer. I love mixing "boy" and "girl" in the same piece, playing with flow and stop, hard and soft but almost always fast as hell!
Vad inspirerar dig?
Wow, almost anything can inspire me. A feeling. A mood. A film, book, image, conversation. Life is inspiration, both the good and the bad!
